Rising Tejano talent Emanuel J is currently working on his sophomore album at the Q Production Studios in Corpus Christi, Texas, after he signed with the record label in December 2020.
The 26-year-old singer released a series of YouTube videos with medleys paying tribute to Tejano icons Jimmy Gonzalez, Emilio Navaira, Ram Herrera, David Lee Garza, Chente Barrera, and Jay Perez. The Jay Perez video caught the attention of Abraham Quintanilla that eventually led to opportunity with Q Productions.

“It was something I really couldn’t pass up. Definitely wanted to take myself to another level instead of just playing with bands as a musician,” Emanuel J tells Tejano Nation. “I came out here to San Antonio to be an artist so I took this opportunity as the doors open right here, I got to walk through it. It’s now or just try to do it on my own and it will be a lot harder that way. I’m very happy, very confident with signing with Q and it’s going to be an awesome experience, a great ride, and honestly I’m just looking forward to it.”
The singer, songwriter and musician moved to San Antonio from Pueblo, Colorado, over three years ago to make a career in Tejano music. His career includes stops with BTS Band, LaDezz, and Los Musicales.
