José pleads ‘Dame La Oportunidad’ for latest single from upcoming project [AUDIO]

José has released his latest single, "Dame La Oportunidad," a song written by Gerardo Alvarez.

Newcomer José has released his latest single, “Dame La Oportunidad,” a song written by Gerardo Alvarez.

José paid tribute to late Tejano icon Emilio Navaira with a cover of “Fijate Mama” earlier this year, now the singer and songwriter pours his heart out one verse at a time pleading “Dame La Oportunidad.”

“This song is a perfect example of not knowing what you got til it’s gone and the endless efforts to be forgiven,” José told Tejano Nation about his latest single.

In desperation to receive one more opportunity to mend his love’s broken heart, José realizes his selfishness throughout the relationship and vows to forever change his ways in hopes that she is willing to forgive and forget.

The song was penned by Alvarez, who has written hit songs from some of today’s biggest Tejano artists including Jay Perez (“Hasta El Fin Del Tiempo”), Elida Y Avante (“Suavecito”), Solido (“Contando Los Segundos”), the duet from Stevie D and Shelly Lares (“Me Muero Por Tu Amor”) and many more.

“Dame La Oportunidad” is available now at digital music platforms and will be a part of the upcoming sophomore album from José. He released his debut album “Serie De Eventos Desafortunados” in February 2017.
