Destiny Navaira announced she was working on a solo project in June and the talented vocalist from Grupo Remedio shared a few more details with Tejano Nation.

The heiress to the Navaira musical family, she’s the daughter of Raulito Navaira and niece of late Tejano icon Emilio Navaira, spoke to Tejano Nation reporter Sylvia Carrizales about her upcoming solo album, including working with her brother Rigo Navaira, producer Mike Aguilar, songwriter Juan Treviño and engineer Rudy Olivares.

“We’re really excited about it”, Destiny said. “It’s really to me and my brother it’s our first kind of step into who really are and I’ve been blessed to have such a team behind me and to have people put faith in me. We have a lot of things coming and I’m very excited for people to see it.

The solo project doesn’t have an official release date but Tejano Nation will have more information as it becomes available.
