Destiny Navaira is the next generation of the Navaira musical family and the talented vocalist released a promo video in July teasing a solo project.
She is the daughter of Raulito Navaira and the niece of late Tejano icon Emilio Navaira. She is also a member of Grupo Remedio with her brother Rigo Navaira and father Raulito, a band that swept all new artist categories at the Tejano Music Awards in 2016, including Best New Female Artist for Destiny.
Destiny recently shared more details on her solo album during a Facebook live video on Sunday (Jun. 30) while shooting a music video at Blue Light Studios on Houston, Texas.
“We got new music coming out very, very soon,” she said. “I’m so excited for y’all to see everything and so excited for all the stuff that’s to come. Very blessed and very happy.”
The talented singer added she’s working with Rudy Olivares, son of Fito Olivares, on her solo project.
“I’m so blessed to have him, such a talent working on my record and working on my engineering,” she said. “We’re going to finish up the album Monday and Tuesday, so I’m so excited. I don’t want to tell you too much but I can’t wait for you to see everything that we’re doing.”
Destiny Navaira’s solo project will no doubt be one of the highly-anticipated albums of the year. No word on a release date, but Tejano Nation will have more details as they become available.
