Conjunto icon Jaime DeAnda released “Puro DeAnda Especial” with a free download for fans.

The single is the first offering from DeAnda since the breakup with Los Chamacos.

“I’m really happy and feel that making this step — what was going to be the outcome? What was going to be the first single? What was going to be the song? — I mean we thought about it for days and I have to say at least a good two months thinking what are we going to put together, what are we going to come out with first,” DeAnda told Tejano Nation radio affiliate KXTN.

“Puro DeAnda Especial” was produced by Gabriel Zavala and features that classic Jaime DeAnda sound as he pays tribute to Conjunto legends, Los Dos Gilbertos in this rendition of the classic tune “Corazon De Hielo/Perdona.”

“It’s crazy when you’re just piecing it because you don’t know what’s going to be the final touch, what’s going to make it, what’s going to give it that flavor, you know,” DeAnda said about recording the song. “When I went in there and was messing with the accordion I did all kinds of crazy stuff. I was really having fun. I was really enjoying being in the studio, it’s been a long time I felt like that.”

The song is a gift for fans with a free download at JaimeDeAnda1979.com.
