
Multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Gilbert Velasquez was recently recognized by the State of Texas for his career accomplishments.
In April, Texas Governor Greg Abbott officially honored Velasquez as a 14-time Grammy and Latin Grammy award winning artist and he has been “a vital influence in the Texas music scene.” His “dedication as a musician highlights the best of the Lone Star State.”
Velasquez has achieved much success all the while helping many other artists with their accomplishments throughout his 40 year music career. He is a vital part of the Tejano music industry, working with a who’s who of local and international musicians, including David Lee Garza, Selena, Grupo Límite, La Tropa F, Shelly Lares and many others.
As part of the VMB Music Group record label, Velasquez has produced music, mixed, arranged, and mastered hit after hit for various award-winning artists and continuing to collaborate with many up-and-coming local artists and musicians, who look to him for his incomparable skills and knowledge of the music industry.
