The highly-anticipated return of Fama reinvigorates the Tejano music industry with the new single “Maria,” featuring Grammy Award winning singer Nando Dominguez on lead vocals.

The track, written by Fernando Silva, who has written many hits songs including “El Sonador” for David Olivarez, is a collaboration with former Kumbia Kings vocalist Nando.

“I’m good friends with Nando Dominguez and asked him if he wanted to be a guest on our single and he jumped at the chance to do something a little different, so that’s how that came about,” Fama’s Eddie Dominguez told Tejano Nation.

Fama are currently working on their next album with more Grammy Award winners and plan to release it in 2018.

Fama earned recognition as one of the most dominating bands in the Latin music industry with a string of career hit singles in the 1990s. The band dominated the airwaves and spent numerous weeks atop Latin Billboard airplay charts with hit singles “Lagrimas De Alegria”, “Quiero Volverte A Ver”, “Querer Tu Amor”, “Te Voy A Enseñar”, “Ojitos Color Cafe”, “Amor Perdoname”, “Boulevard De Sueños” and “Llorando.”  Fama have released many albums over the years, which four were certified gold, three platinum, and one double platinum.

“Maria” is currently available for download at CDBaby.
