Tejano stars, including AJ Castillo, Megan Chapa and Las Fenix, helped radio station Majic 95.9 in Victoria, Texas hand out 350 turkeys to families in need. It was the Tejano Nation Radio affiliate’s 15th annual turkey drive held at the Boys and Girls Club of Victoria on Tuesday night.
The event featured Tejano stars, station personalities and volunteers handing out food for those in need and those willing to wait in line for hours to receive a frozen turkey for the Thanksgiving holiday.
“We are very pleased and very happy to do this,” Majic 95.9 radio personality Sammy Hernandez told CrossroadsToday.com. “It’s the greatest feeling in the world, especially knowing it’s two days before Thanksgiving and those families that weren’t gonna have anything are gonna have something.”
The event was started 15 years ago by Hernandez and the radio station has continued the event every year.
