Los Badd Boyz Del Valle took to social media on Monday to reveal plans for a huge collaboration with many Tejano artists and their next album.

The band announced via a Facebook Live video, they will be working with Chavalos Music for their next album. It will be the follow-up to their successful album, En El Vacilon, which earned a Top 5 nomination for Conjunto Album of the Year at the 37th annual Tejano Music Awards on October 21 in San Antonio, Texas.

“They got some good plans for us,” said Lonnie Gonzales, the band’s lead vocalist and bajo sexto player. “We really do like what they offering us and what they plan on doing with us.”

The first project is going to be a collaboration featuring many well known Tejano artists, Gonzales says in the video, “We were going to do it on our own, but this is going to make the song so much better.”

Gonzales mentioned some names that may be a part of the project including Sunny Sauceda, Tony Guerrero de La Sombra and Ruben Ramos.

“This might be a surprise to Sunny and to Tony, because it’s been awhile — I told them about the project awhile back,” Gonzales said. “They had told me, ‘Let’s do it’. It’s kind of like a ‘We Are The World’ kind of thing, that was the idea.”

Los Badd Boyz Del Valle plan to add more artists to the collaboration with the help of producer Eric “E-Rock” Avalos from Chavalos Music.

Inspired by artists, such as Ruben Vela, Los Dos Gilbertos and Narcisco Martinez, the  mission of Los Badd Boyz Del Valle is to reignite the local flavor of traditional Conjunto music with a modern twist.
