A.B. Quintanilla is expected to make a court appearance in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Friday, KRIS-TV reports.

According to court officials, the 53-year-old musician is asking the judge for a “motion to quash”.  If a judge approves that, the warrant would no longer be in effect.

On Monday, the Grammy winner found himself on the Nueces County Most Wanted list for failing to appear in court for a hearing that dealt with non-payment of child support. According to a report from the state Attorney General’s office, Quintanilla owes more than $87,000. That same report says the case dates back to 2012 and the last time he paid child support was in September 2015
