Latin music legend Adalberto Gallegos, former lead singer for Latin Breed, talked about his upcoming kidney transplant surgery and much more in an exclusive interview with Tejano Nation’s Fanny Gurl.
The 61-year-old singer mentioned his music beginnings at the age of 12 and joined the revolutionary, genre-bending Latin Breed just as he was leaving his teen years and remained with the band off and on for 40 years.
The Tuscon native talked about his upcoming kidney transplant surgery on Tuesday (June 27) with his son, Adalberto Gallegos, Jr., donating a kidney to his father, who has renal failure and been undergoing dialysis for nearly four years.
After the surgery, the elder Gallegos plans on recruiting musicians and hopes to return to the studio to record some of his own songs and some classic Mexican rancheras.
