Stephanie Lynn picks Florida singer for Pay It Forward contest

Tejano superstar Stephanie Lynn wants to pay it forward and give an upcoming singer a chance to sing background vocals on her upcoming project.

The singer, who recently returned to music with the release of her new single “Todo Mi Amor” in January, posted via Facebook on April 1 about the opportunity for one of today’s young talented singers.

“I was so fortunate to have been asked by Selena Quintanilla to do the background vocals of 8 of her songs to what we would have never imagined would be her last album Amor Prohibido.” Stephanie Lynn posted. “It was a life changing experience. In memory of Selena, I would like to do the same and give one young singer the opportunity to do some background vocals on my next recording.”

Stephanie Lynn made her pick on Friday (June 9) during a Facebook live video with a phone call to Florida singer Shay Reyna.

“The reason why I picked you…I really enjoyed your vocals and I was really impressed,” Stephanie Lynn shared with Reyna during their phone conversation on the live video.

Reyna, who released her debut single “Nuestro Amor” featuring Marcus Daniels on May 26, will become a part of Stephanie Lynn’s upcoming project.
