Rick Fuentes and The Brown Express met with fans at Brother John’s Beer, Bourbon and BBQ in Tucson, Arizona, on Thursday (May 25) giving away CDs and more.
Tejano Nation’s DJ Peaches spent some time with Fuentes to talk about the GRAMMY winner’s 20 years alongside the legendary Ruben Ramos as part of The Mexican Revolution. He also expressed how it was time to reincarnate The Brown Express, the band his father, Richard Fuentes, lead back in the 1980’s, along with Chavela Ortiz, “La Reina de Accordion.”
Rick Fuentes appreciates his band’s talents and introduces them as his brothers in music. The versatile group of talented musicians brings a signature sound to Tejano music. His goal is to continue the band where his father left off and to keep it going. A major record label for the second album is coming soon. The album will be in tribute to his Father which Rick will add his own flavor but also keep it original.
Rick Fuentes and the Brown Express are a band that is honoring a legend with their own creativity and yet remaining true to their passion which is Tejano music.
The debut self-titled album from Rick Fuentes and The Brown Express is available for sale now at BrownExpressMusic.com.
