Missy has released her new album Mujer Fuerte this week and the singer plans an album release party on her birthday, March 23.
Tejano Nation caught up with the vocalist during Fan Fair week at the fourth annual Internet Radio Gala at VFW Post 76 on March 16.
Missy gave details on her new album, including collaborations with Ram Herrera and Chente Barrera. The lead single from the disc is a cover of “La Hija De Nadie,” the 1972 hit from Yolanda Del Rio, but in pure Missy style.
Mujer Fuerte from Missy, formerly from Missy Y Xpression, will be released by Discos Solcar, a new record label owned by Carlos Y Los Cachorros, and features seven original songs, five written by Missy herself.
The album release party is scheduled on Missy’s 43rd birthday, March 23, at Far West Entertainment Center, 2502 Pleasanton Road in San Antonio, and will feature performances from Bree Jimenez, Savannah Votion, Aisha, Flavio Longoria and more. The event is free.
