Juan Treviño, one of the top songwriters in Tejano music, released his highly-anticipated first solo album Fragmentos on Friday (Jan. 27).

The album includes 10 new original tracks written by Treviño and contains features with guest vocalists and musicians including David Lee Garza, AJ Castillo, Armando Lichtenberger Jr. from La Mafia,  Rolando “Rolo” Benavides of Solido, Carlos Alvarez from Mariachi Campanas De America and many more.

Fragmentos contains a piece of all that I have been a part of, Norteño, Tejano, Cumbia, and ballads.” Treviño said in a press release. “I’m thankful to all the artists that throughout these years have blessed me with recording my songs.”

Treviño has composed some of the biggest hits in Tejano music for over 10 years. He has written hit songs for Los Palominos (Me Enamore De Un Angel), La Mafia (Amor Y Sexo), Vizzio (Para Demostrarte), Siggno (Te Acostumbraste A Estar Sin Mi), Grupo Solido (Soy Libre), David Lee Garza y Los Musicales (El Privilegio) Jay Perez (Un Amigo Tendras), Elida Reyna Y Avante and Solido (Atrevete Amarme), to name just a few.

“Siempre Es Asi” is the lead single from Fragmentos and features AJ Castillo lending his power-house and distinct accordion riffs on the track..

“I wrote it after coming back from vacation in Cabo with my wife,” Treviño told Tejano Nation. “When we were on vacation she would get ready every morning and I would drink coffee and just have conversations, you know. So the song was born from that getaway. That song set the tone for the whole album.”

Fragmentos is available now at all digital retailers and record stores.

  1. Never heard of JuanTrevino . Awesome song . Voice reminds me of a mix of international singers Emmanuel and lead singer of la firma. Look forward to hearing more.
