Tejano newcomer Missy has released the second single, “Cariñito,” from her upcoming debut album Mujer Fuerte.
The upbeat cumbia is a cover track that will definitely get you moving on the dance floor.
“I picked that song because I love to dance,” Missy told Tejano Nation. “When I go to a dance and I hear a song I want it to make me dance and it’s an upbeat cumbia, a fast cumbia. It was fun to record, it was fun to sing and it’s fun to dance to.”
Missy, formerly from Missy Y Xpression, will drop her debut album in March during the week of the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair in San Antonio. Mujer Fuerte will be released by Discos Solcar, a new record label owned by Carlos Y Los Cachorros, and features seven original song, five written by Missy herself.
