Jennifer Degollado from Grupo Control received a special gift from Hohner on Wednesday, and the emotional video of her unveiling the new accordion went viral.
The Facebook video has garnered over 1 million views.
“Thank you!!! #HohnerAccordions Gilberto Reyes Jr for believing in me & for this beautiful accordion,” Degollado posted on Facebook. “There are no words to describe how happy & truly grateful I am. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sorry for the tears I couldn’t help myself.”
The video shows the 23-year-old musician unwrapping her new accordion, a gift from her new sponsor Hohner Accordions. She begins to play and her father, Sergio Degollado, a founding member of Control, begins to sing the band’s hit “¡Ay Amor!” Tears of joy begin to flow from the accordionist at the end of the video.
“Words cannot express how happy I am to be given such a beautiful gift,” Degollado posted on Facebook. “I am so grateful to God, to my parents, to Gilberto, and to Hohner Accordions for this golden beauty!”
