The 2016 edition of the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair just got bigger with the addition of a fifth stage for this year’s event, the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) announced on Wednesday.
“We’re actually going to be opening up a fifth stage this year,” TTMA Vice President Frank Salazar told BNet Radio. “It’s called the Gateway Plaza.”
According to Salazar, the stage will be located under the I-35 bridge behind the farmer’s market near Dolorosa Street. This fifth stage will offer Tejano music fans more live music and bands throughout the four day event.
TMA Fan Fair usually has four stages every year, the San Saba North stage, San Saba South stage, Hidalgo stage and Concho stage. This year will be the first with the new fifth stage.
Bands expected to perform on the Gateway stage include Michael Salgado, Eddie Gonzalez, Los Envivo Kingz, Ram Herrera, Ricardo Castillon, Los A-T Boyz, just to name a few. See the full line-up at TejanoMusicAwards.com.
The four-day event will showcase over 125 bands from across the nation at the annual TMA Fan Fair that draws over 95,000 die-hard fans each year and offers fans an up close and personal atmosphere with live music on four stages featuring emerging artists to to top veteran performers as well as some surprise guest performances.
The family friendly event in the “Tejano Music Capital of the World” will give fans access to their favorite artists during autograph sessions and performances.
The TTMA is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote professional excellence; a better understanding and greater appreciation for Tejano music; and to provide a public forum for songwriters, performs and musicians in order to recognize their artistic efforts and achievements through the annual Tejano Music Awards and related events. TTMA is based in San Antonio, Texas.
