La Gringa Novelera: Ximena Duque opens beauty salon in Miami

This is a photo of the great actress Ximena Duque, who I love in everything.

She most recently played porn-star Erica San Miguel, aka “SugarLips,” in the TabSmokingQuualudeNovela ‪#‎DuenosDelParaiso‬.

I loved ‪#‎DDP‬ for about a gazillion reasons, not the least of which was that in combined 1970’s Miami with Chileans, Cubans, Cocaina, and out and out, non-stop insanity.

Ximena Duque will be forever ingrained into my memory, and Novela history, as “Ines Robledo” in ‪#‎SantaDiabla‬.

Ines was the perfect combination of beauty, madness, and frivolity.

I’d call her “impetuous,” but that might be the wrong word for someone whose impetuous act usually precedes a murder.

In any event, Ximena Duque and her boyfriend and co-star Carlos Ponce have opened a beauty salon called the “Duchess and Duque.”  It’s in North Miami, and if Carlos gives the cut and Ximena does the color I would be in Heaven.

I would not even try to tell them what to do, even though to be honest, I’m not sure either one of them has a Cosmetology license.

But I won’t care.

When I return to Miami in November, I’m going there for The Works.

Of course, with Ximena and Carlos, “The Works” could also include a decapitation, but I’m willing to take that chance.
