Tejano singer Phoebe Marie has put a cumbia spin on Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” for her new single, released on Wednesday.
The track is produced by Roland “RoRo” Gutierrez. The Latin Grammy-nominated producer has worked with DJ Kane, Jennifer Pena and Chris Perez Band, to name a few. The Spanish lyrics for the track were written by La Conquista vocalist and accordionist Mony De La Garza.
The 27-year-old Phoebe Marie has been recording music since the age of 13. The Laredo native has won numerous awards for her talents over the years and is currently sponsored by Melrose, a family fashions store.
The official video for “La Isla Bonita” will be released soon.
