Public voting is officially underway for the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards, giving fans the opportunity to support their favorite artists as the longest-running awards show dedicated to Tejano music moves closer to announcing its finalists.
The Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) has announced that the general ballot is now available online, inviting Tejano music fans to participate in the selection process across a variety of categories recognizing the genre’s established stars, emerging talent and musical achievements.
Fans can cast their votes at TejanoMusicAwards.com through Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Public Voting Determines the Top Five Finalists
The public ballot features numerous categories, including Song of the Year, Male and Female Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year, Conjunto Album of the Year, Collaboration/Duo of the Year and Best New Artist honors for male, female and group performers, among others.
According to the voting guidelines, artists submitted their full albums released between January 1 and December 31, 2025, for consideration. The initial round of nominees was determined through industry voting, with the public ballot now giving fans a voice in selecting the Top Five finalists in each category.
The final nominees are expected to be announced after public voting closes later this month.
Each household is permitted one vote per artist, group or manager. Duplicate or invalid ballots will be deleted, and some categories may feature fewer than 12 contenders because of the number of qualified nominees.
With the deadline approaching, fans have an opportunity to help determine which artists advance to the final round of competition.
46th Annual Tejano Music Awards Returns to Katy
The 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards will take place Friday, November 13, 2026, at the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy, Texas, marking the second consecutive year the ceremony will be held in the Houston-area community.
The move represents a notable chapter in the history of the awards, which have traditionally been associated with San Antonio, widely recognized as the Tejano Music Capital of the World.
This year’s celebration is expected to bring together artists, musicians, industry professionals and fans for an evening recognizing the performers and recordings shaping Tejano music.

The announced performance lineup includes Jay Perez, Ram Herrera, Siggno, Gary Hobbs, Luis Ayala’s Fiebre, Avizo and Jenny B, bringing together established performers and contemporary acts for what organizers call the “Biggest Night in Tejano Music.”
The evening will begin with a red carpet event from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
General admission tickets and table reservations are available through TejanoMusicAwards.com.
