Founded in 1978, Los Arcos Hermanos Peña have developed a unique sound that moves seamlessly between hardcore conjunto and a classic Relámpagos del Norte-inspired style. Their music is highlighted by fiery accordion, powerful vocal harmonies, tight rhythms and intricate bajo sexto work.

The family band made its first recording in 1979 as Los Arcos Del Norte on Joey Records. Since then, they have released more than 25 albums on various labels and participated in joint ventures with artists including Toño Zamora, Crystal Tarango and the late legendary Cornelio Reyna.

During the 1980s, the band scored major success with hits such as “El Borracho Del Año.” The slow-tempo classic reached No. 1 on major Mexican-American charts and remained at the top for more than 48 consecutive weeks.

The album Una Carta Y Un Clavel, which featured the hit, was certified gold in the United States and sold more than 50,000 copies worldwide.
