Date and Venue Announced for 46th annual Tejano Music Awards

The countdown is officially on for the biggest celebration in Tejano music.

The Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) has announced that the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards will take place on Friday, Nov. 13, 2026, returning to the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy, Texas, following the success of last year’s event at the venue.

Widely recognized as the premier awards show honoring excellence in Tejano music, the annual ceremony will once again bring together the genre’s biggest names, emerging artists, and passionate fans for an evening celebrating the rich tradition and continued evolution of Tejano music.

Organizers promise the 46th edition will deliver an unforgettable experience featuring live performances, special tributes, surprise collaborations, and recognition of the artists who have helped shape the genre over the past year.

For more than four decades, the Tejano Music Awards have remained the longest-running and most prestigious awards program dedicated to honoring the achievements of Tejano artists, musicians, songwriters, producers, and industry professionals. Since its inception, the event has celebrated countless legendary performers while introducing audiences to the next generation of Tejano talent.

While the awards ceremony was traditionally held in San Antonio—known worldwide as the “Tejano Music Capital of the World”—the event has expanded to other Texas cities over the years, including Eagle Pass, before finding a successful new home in Katy.

The announcement also marks another important step in the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards voting process. Following the conclusion of open submissions, industry voting begins Monday, July 27, 2026, with public fan voting scheduled to open shortly afterward. The voting process helps determine the finalists and winners across numerous award categories recognizing excellence throughout the Tejano music industry.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer to learn who will take the stage. TTMA says the official performance lineup for this year’s awards show will be announced soon, with organizers teasing several surprises planned to make the milestone celebration one of the most memorable in recent years.
