EDINBURG, Texas — The celebration of a legendary career is officially underway.
Tejano powerhouse Los Palominos launched their highly anticipated 35th Anniversary Arena & Theater Tour on June 20, 2026, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, delivering a night packed with nostalgia, surprises, and unforgettable moments for thousands of fans.
The kickoff concert marked the beginning of a six-city Texas tour commemorating 35 years of music, culture, and influence from one of Tejano music’s most decorated groups. Produced by Bird Promotions and Cielo Entertainment, the anniversary tour is designed as an exclusive one-show-per-month experience, with special guest appearances and unique elements planned for each city.
Fans attending the opening night were treated to major surprises when legendary Tejano group La Mafia and Oscar Iván Treviño, lead vocalist of Duelo, joined the celebration, adding even more star power to an already historic event.

The launch concert reflected the vision Los Palominos shared during a press conference announcing the tour earlier this year.
“I think that we came up with a great, great concept,” Los Palominos lead singer and bajo player James Arreola said. “The 35th anniversary is going to be a big celebration of La Música de Los Palominos. It’ll give people a chance to see Los Palominos like they’ve never seen before.”
Arreola promised fans a production unlike any previous Los Palominos tour, combining the band’s biggest hits with music that hasn’t been performed in years.
“Thirty-five years gives you a chance to record so much music,” Arreola said. “Through the years, you forget about these songs. Now I think this gives us a chance to go back and bring some of this music back. We’re really, really excited.”
Founded in 1989 in Uvalde, Texas, Los Palominos have become one of the most influential and successful acts in Tejano music history. The group has earned one Grammy Award and three Latin Grammy Awards while building a catalog of hits that helped define modern Tejano music. Their blend of traditional conjunto roots, romantic ballads, and contemporary production has made them a fan favorite for more than three decades.
For Arreola, launching the anniversary celebration in the Rio Grande Valley carried special significance.
“The Valley has been a big, big part of our career,” he said. “It’s a way of us expressing ourselves and thanking people for supporting our music this long.”
The June 20 concert was only the beginning.
In addition to the six-city Texas Arena & Theater Tour, Los Palominos have announced plans for a Vegas Tejano Takeover event, an international celebration in Mexico, and a special cruise experience expected later this year. Additional anniversary events and guest appearances are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
If the opening night in Edinburg was any indication, Los Palominos’ 35th Anniversary Tour is shaping up to be more than a concert series—it’s a celebration of one of Tejano music’s greatest success stories and a tribute to the fans who have supported the band every step of the way.
