The Texas Talent Musicians Association has officially opened submissions for the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards, continuing its long-standing tradition of honoring the best in Tejano music. The prestigious awards ceremony is set to take place this fall, with the official date and venue expected to be announced soon.
Artists, record labels, and representatives are now encouraged to submit eligible recordings released between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. All submissions must be completed by Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
The annual awards program recognizes excellence across a wide range of categories, including fan-favorite honors such as Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, and New Artist categories. This year once again includes the Tejano / Country Song of the Year. This addition recognizes the growing influence of crossover sounds, welcoming both new and established artists whose music blends Tejano roots with country stylings.
This year’s awards process will unfold in three phases. The nominations period runs from May 26 through June 21, 2026, followed by industry voting from July 13-26, 2026. Public voting will then open August 10 through September 4, 2026, giving Tejano music fans an opportunity to help select this year’s winners. Final nominees will be announced online ahead of the ceremony, with winners revealed live during the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards.
According to TTMA, the board of directors reserves the right to make changes to award criteria, categories, nominations, or voting procedures as needed.
