Bobby Pulido’s groundbreaking debut album Desvelado is officially spinning into a new era.
As the album celebrates its 30th anniversary, Desvelado—originally released on September 26, 1995—has received a special vinyl LP release, fulfilling a long-held wish among Tejano fans and collectors. The release honors the record that not only launched Pulido’s career but also helped shape the modern Tejano sound of the mid-1990s.
Pulido first hinted at the vinyl possibility earlier this year. In an April 2025 interview with Spectrum News, the two-time Latin Grammy winner shared that Desvelado “may get a vinyl release this year as its 30th anniversary nears.” That prediction has now come to fruition, with vinyl editions of the album currently available through select online retailers.
One such retailer, Fono Global, highlighted the album’s historical significance in its description, calling Pulido “a pioneer of the Tejano music movement” and describing Desvelado as a “landmark record” that blends traditional Tejano with a pop-country feel. The release features the iconic title track “Desvelado,” a song that helped establish Pulido as a breakout star and a household name in the genre. For many fans, the vinyl pressing is already being labeled a must-have collector’s item.
The anniversary vinyl arrives during a pivotal chapter in Pulido’s career. The release follows his farewell run, the Por La Puerta Grande Tour, which has served as a celebration of his decades-long impact on Tejano music. Pulido has also announced plans to step into public service, campaigning in 2026 for Texas’ 15th Congressional District, which includes San Patricio, Aransas, Jim Wells, Brooks, Bee, Refugio, Goliad, and DeWitt counties, among others.
Musically, Pulido continues to receive widespread acclaim. In September, he earned a Latin Grammy for Best Tejano Album for Bobby Pulido & Friends: Una Tuya y una Mía (Vol. 1 / En Vivo), an ambitious 30-song live collaboration celebrating his roots, influences, and enduring legacy. The project also secured a 2026 Grammy nomination for Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano), further cementing his place among the genre’s most influential artists.
Thirty years after its original release, Desvelado remains a defining moment in Tejano music history. Its arrival on vinyl not only honors Bobby Pulido’s beginnings but also offers longtime fans and a new generation the chance to experience a classic album in a timeless format—proof that some records never lose their shine, no matter how many years pass.
