HotTejano Radio has been named Radio Station of the Year at the 7th Annual Guadalupe Tejano Awards, held November 23 at Mustang Sally’s in San Antonio, Texas. The Austin-based online station received the honor during one of the city’s fastest-growing cultural celebrations, recognizing standout contributors in Tejano and Conjunto music.
In a statement celebrating the win, Hot Tejano said it was “honored” to receive the award, calling it a reflection of the team’s dedication and the unwavering support of listeners.
“This distinguished recognition reflects the dedication and collective efforts of Hot Tejano’s entire team, as well as the ongoing support of our valued patrons and listeners,” the station shared. “We will continue to strive for excellence in broadcasting, community engagement, and the advancement of our musical heritage.”
Hot Tejano also acknowledged the vital role sponsors play in its success and credited its growing audience for elevating the platform’s visibility. As Austin’s longest-running Tejano online radio station, HotTejano.com boasts a rapidly expanding market in the Austin Metro and Central Texas area, supported by the Pulido family’s broadcasting experience and a roster of seasoned radio personalities. The station reports more than 323,000+ annual site hits, contributing to its national and international reach.
The Guadalupe Tejano Awards, founded in 2019 by veteran promoter Andrew Belmarez in honor of his late mother, Guadalupe M. Belmarez, celebrate the artists, musicians, and industry professionals who preserve and elevate Tejano and Conjunto music. In just seven years, the show has become one of San Antonio’s proudest cultural traditions—highlighting unity, heritage, and the enduring power of Tejano music.
This year’s ceremony once again showcased a thriving musical legacy powered by dedicated artists, passionate fans, and a community committed to keeping la cultura alive. For Hot Tejano, the Radio Station of the Year honor reinforces its mission to uplift Tejano music and serve listeners with professionalism and pride for years to come.
