Ricardo Castillón Y La Diferenzia has released the second episode of their new documentary-series Nuestro Viaje – Our Journey, giving fans another intimate look at life beyond the stage. Led by frontman Ricardo Castillón, the episode follows the group of musicians as they step away from their hectic touring schedule to enjoy a much-needed bonding getaway centered on fishing, cooking, and reconnecting with life’s simple joys.
The video takes fans along as the band settles into a beachfront Airbnb for their break, choosing early-morning fishing adventures over typical beachside activities like riding golf carts. With the help of their fishing guide, Jerry—who jokingly promises to help them catch “megalodons”—the group experiences a mixture of excitement, nerves, and laughter as several members catch fish for the very first time. Each musician reels in around three fish, hitting what Jerry calls their “limit,” while also learning how to properly grip fish by the gills.
The getaway also showcases the band’s love of food and tradition, highlighting a cooking session filled with grilled meats, shared meals, and plenty of good-natured fun. Despite some members being nervous around fish—and one who doesn’t eat fish at all—the trip strengthens their camaraderie and provides moments they won’t forget.
Throughout the episode, Ricardo reflects on the importance of slowing down and taking time to breathe, especially after decades on the road. He encourages fellow musicians and fans alike to prioritize mental and emotional health.
“Stop and smell the roses,” he says in the episode, reminding viewers that fresh air, nature, and meaningful moments with close friends are just as important as the music itself. The series aims to give fans an unfiltered look at the passion, sacrifice, and love that fuel La Diferenzia’s journey.

“For over 30 years, I’ve been traveling with my band, making music, and making beautiful memories,” Castillón shares. “This is our journey, mi raza. This is our story. No filters.”
Nuestro Viaje – Our Journey arrives during a major creative resurgence for the group, following the release of their comeback album, Renacimiento del Phoenix, a project that celebrates La Diferenzia’s rebirth and return to their classic sound.
