Academy of Tejano Music Announces Key Dates for La Sexta Entrega de los Premios Tejano Mundial 2026

San Antonio, Texas — The Academy of Tejano Music has officially announced key details for La Sexta Entrega de los Premios Tejano Mundial 2026, the premier awards ceremony honoring excellence and innovation across the Tejano music industry. The star-studded celebration will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium (901 N Loop 1604 Acc Rd). Fans can kick off the excitement early with Red Carpet event beginning at 5:00 p.m.

• Voting: January 6–16, 2026 (closes 12 PM CST)

Tejano fans will once again play a critical role in determining winners in several marquee fan-voted categories:

• Entertainer of the Year
• New Artist of the Year
• Group/Duo of the Year
• Collaboration of the Year
• Social Artist of the Year
• Song of the Year (Homenaje)

Industry categories — including vocal performance, songwriting, engineering, production, and Songs of the Year — will be determined by Academy voting members. A specialized committee will select the winner for Video of the Year.
