KLEIN, Texas — Klein Oak High School is kicking off the holiday season with a spectacular musical celebration as it hosts the A Merry-Achi Christmas Concert tonight, December 1, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. This year’s event brings an exciting spotlight to a unique collaboration between the Klein Oak High School Mariachi Ensemble and acclaimed Tejano recording artist Bianca Ruiz.
The evening will include the live debut of their new joint recording, “Vete Con El,” an original mariachi single co-created by Ruiz and the student ensemble. The song officially releases tonight, giving concert attendees the first opportunity to experience this powerful artist-student collaboration.
A Special Collaboration Comes to Life
Under the guidance of musical director Tanner Ledford, the Klein Oak Mariachi Ensemble partnered with Ruiz earlier this fall for an unforgettable studio experience. The students arranged and wrote their own sheet music for “Vete Con El,” showcasing both their creativity and their deep understanding of mariachi tradition. In September, the group joined Ruiz in the studio, performing live as she recorded her final vocal track—an extraordinary opportunity for young musicians to participate in a professional-level session.

With its soaring violins, bold trumpets, rhythmic guitarrón lines, and Ruiz’s unmistakable emotional delivery, the song captures the vibrant spirit and cultural richness of mariachi music while celebrating the talent of the next generation.
Bianca Ruiz Reflects on the Experience
Ruiz expressed heartfelt gratitude for the chance to collaborate with the students, calling the session one of the most inspiring moments of her career.
“Recording with the Mariachi Klein Oak students was one of the most inspiring moments of my musical journey,” said Ruiz. “Their talent, discipline, and passion for mariachi music moved me deeply. Mr. Ledford has created something truly special here, and it was an honor to record this song with such extraordinary young artists.”
About Bianca “La BiBi” Ruiz
A Houston-area talent with roots in Tejano music, Ruiz discovered her passion for singing at age 10, appearing at Fan Fair and later earning a nomination for Female Rising Star at the Tejano Music Awards. By 15, she formed her own band, Sangre Latina, performing throughout Houston and establishing herself as a young artist to watch.
Outside of music, Ruiz built a thriving career as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and currently operates NUVO Cosmedispa in Houston. Her return to music in 2023 sparked a new wave of momentum, including performances at Tejano SuperJam with legendary acts such as Jay Perez, Ram Herrera, Bobby Pulido, and Michael Salgado. She has also shared the stage with Jesse Turner (Grupo SIGGNO) and La Fiebre. In May 2025, she released her debut cumbia single, “Bailar Para Olvidar,” marking a fierce re-entry into the Tejano scene.
