La Calma made Black Friday even bigger this year with the release of their brand-new single, “La Más Chula del Condado,” available now on all digital platforms. The latest track arrived Friday, November 29, and frontman Leo Correa Jr.—a recent nominee for Male Vocalist of the Year at the 45th annual Tejano Music Awards—unveiled exclusive details during a Thanksgiving Day interview with Bo Leo In The Morning on Fierro HD.
Correa joined the show from West Texas, where he now lives, sharing his excitement for the holiday and the new music. “Super excited to be able to spend Thanksgiving with my family… and on top of that, super excited because you know how it is. Right after Thanksgiving, it’s Black Friday. Well, guess what, man? La Calma is bringing Black Friday to Calma Nation, brother, with a brand new single,” Correa said.
A Fresh, Catchy Cumbia for Calma Nation
The new single continues La Calma’s run of upbeat, fan-favorite cumbias—this time penned by acclaimed songwriter Eduardo “Yayo” Anguiano, who also wrote the group’s recent Valentine’s release.
“I listened to the lyrics, ‘La Más Chula del Condado,’ and man, we put our magic to it,” Correa shared. The track comes to life with contributions from across the band, including Grammy Award winner Eddie Perez, who brought creative direction to the production, and his son Eddie Perez Jr on drums. Jay Rod and VJ Flores also helped complete the signature La Calma sound.
“All of us came together… another cumbia. It’s going to be nice, catchy. I think the people are going to love it,” Correa said.
Out Now Everywhere
Correa invited fans to download and stream the new single on all platforms.
“We released it today… it’s available on iTunes, Apple, Spotify—the whole works.”
Fans can also stay connected through the band’s official pages on Facebook, Instagram, X, and more. “If it’s your first time hearing La Calma, we’ve been around for a very long time—since 2008. We love people to jump on the La Calma train with us,” Correa added.
