
EDINBURG, TX — Elida Reyna Y Avante gave fans in the Rio Grande Valley a night to remember with her final performance in the region on Saturday, November 8, at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. The concert marked the penultimate stop of Elida Reyna y Avante’s Farewell Tour, capping a legendary 34-year career on the road.
The two-time Latin Grammy Award winner and most decorated artist in Tejano Music Awards history, boasting an unmatched 42 awards, shared her heartfelt gratitude with fans via social media: “I want to thank my magical valley that I love so much, thank you for being here on this very special, beautiful day, a night full of magic, thank you to all of you.”She also added: “The ‘Final show’ in the 956 was simply amazing. Thank you to everyone who came from all over the valley and showed us so much love!! So blessed… ONE SHOW LEFT. San Antonio, we’ll see u December 12th @ The Majestic Theater.”
The Edinburg show proved to be one of the most meaningful of Reyna’s career. Fans were treated to a career-spanning set of hits and a special appearance by Tejano legend Elsa Garcia, “La Primera Dama” of Tejano Music. The night celebrated Reyna’s legacy and the lifelong connection she has shared with her devoted fans, especially those in her home region.
