Tejano icons La Sombra de Tony Guerrero have made their long-awaited return with the release of a brand-new album — their first in more than a decade. The legendary group, affectionately known as the “Windy City Boys” from Aurora, Illinois, released PARA LA FAMILIA on October 3, 2025, across all digital platforms.
Frontman Tony Guerrero shared the emotional announcement with fans on social media, writing,
“Incredible!!! After more than 4 decades of creating Gold & Platinum hit albums… and over a decade since our last release… We are thrilled to release our brand-new album: PARA LA FAMILIA on all digital platforms! La Sombra has always been a family group, and now the legacy continues with my son, Marco Antonio Guerrero (Marco G), who produced, and arranged the entire album including writing 16 original songs. That’s what makes this project so meaningful to me. To all our Fans & Sombraholics!! Thank you for your patience, your love, and your support. And above all… Thank you GOD Almighty! Get ready… PARA LA FAMILIA!”

The new album truly lives up to its name — a family affair — spearheaded by Tony Guerrero and his son Marco G, who took charge of production, arrangements, and songwriting. The project also features contributions from longtime La Sombra members Cruz Guerrero, Bobby Rios, Cricket, and Pete, blending the group’s rich musical heritage with a fresh, modern energy.
Fans got an early taste of what’s to come with the lead single “Cariño Santo,” which showcases La Sombra’s signature Tejano sound infused with Marco G’s contemporary touch.
