The excitement continues to build for the 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards, as the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) has announced that El Plan, the Monterrey-based, two-time Latin Grammy-winning Tejano band, will join the star-studded performance lineup. The milestone event is set to take place at the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy, Texas, on Friday, November 21, 2025.
El Plan — known for their innovative fusion of Tejano, rock, and alternative sounds — continues to push boundaries in the genre with their latest release, Imperfecto, Vol. 2, which earned the group its sixth Latin Grammy nomination for Best Tejano Album. The band previously won the coveted award twice: first in 2021 for Pa’ La Pista Y Pa’l Pisto, Vol. 2 and again in 2024 for Imperfecto. Their fresh and experimental sound has positioned them among the most dynamic acts redefining modern Tejano music.
El Plan joins a powerhouse lineup that includes Lucky Joe, Da Krazy Pimpz, David Olivarez, and The Homeboyz, promising an unforgettable evening of music and celebration. Adding to the excitement, comedian Alex Reymundo will host the ceremony, bringing his trademark humor and energy to what is famously known as the “Biggest Night in Tejano Music.”
This year’s awards mark a historic new chapter, as the event moves from its longtime home in San Antonio, the “Tejano Music Capital of the World,” to Katy, Texas, for the first time in many years. Fans can expect live performances, heartfelt tributes, and special collaborations celebrating both Tejano legends and the next generation of stars.
The evening begins with a red carpet event from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m.Tables for the event sold out in less than 72 hours, but general admission tickets are still available.
