Corpus Christi, TX — In a night overflowing with emotion, nostalgia, and pure Tejano pride, Bobby Pulido delivered a powerful performance at the iconic Selena Auditorium in Corpus Christi as part of the final dates of his “Por la Puerta Grande” farewell tour. The celebrated singer, who has spent over three decades captivating audiences around the world, offered a show that will forever be etched in the hearts of his fans.
The evening brought together several beloved figures of Tejano music, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration for the genre’s enduring legacy. One of the most unforgettable moments came when Bobby Pulido shared the stage for the first time with Chris Pérez, the renowned guitarist and widower of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. The audience erupted in applause as the duo performed “Desvelado” and “Enséñame,” followed by an emotional medley paying tribute to Selena — including a touching rendition of “Fotos y Recuerdos.”
Adding even more sentiment to the evening was the surprise appearance of Roberto Pulido, who made his return to the stage after a recent accident. The crowd rose to its feet in a powerful show of love and respect for the Tejano legend. Also joining the celebration were Elida Reyna and Sonia De La Paz, whose performances added brilliance and heart to the night’s festivities.
Members of the Quintanilla family were also in attendance, showing their support and sharing in the emotional energy that filled the auditorium named in Selena’s honor.
Reflecting on the performance, Bobby Pulido shared heartfelt words with fans:
“Finally home after an incredible weekend. Last night in Corpus Christi was one of those shows that was truly for the books. Emotional, powerful, and something I’ll always remember. Our last time performing at the iconic Selena Auditorium, and it couldn’t have been more special… When my dad Roberto Pulido walked out and the entire crowd stood up to cheer him on — that moment hit different. The love and respect you showed him had me holding back tears. It’s something I’ll never forget.”
Pulido also expressed his gratitude to his fellow performers and fans, giving special thanks to Suzette Quintanilla, Nora Canales, and his hardworking band for making the night so memorable.
As Bobby Pulido continues the final stretch of his Por la Puerta Grande tour, he does so not just as a performer, but as an enduring symbol of Tejano music’s heart and soul — a legacy built on passion, family, and deep connection with his fans.
“Corpus will forever hold a special place in our hearts,” Pulido added. “There were so many special moments, and we can’t wait for you to see them all. #ThankYouCorpusChristi”
