Savannah V has released her brand-new single, “Dos Amantes,” an original track produced by Severo “Sevy” Contreras at Slackmonster Studios in San Antonio, Texas. The Tejano Music Awards winning rising Tejano star shared the story behind her latest release in a recent interview with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, describing the song as “a beautiful, powerful track” that takes fans back to the classic Tejano sound of the 1970s and 1980s.
“Dos Amantes is a beautiful song. The words are beautiful. When I first heard it, I was kind of skeptical, but it felt so powerful,” Savannah V said. “I’m a very risky type of girl, and I’ve done songs that a lot of other artists wouldn’t dare touch. This one is raw, authentic, and definitely more in my realm.”
The song was originally brought to Savannah and Contreras by James Jimenez, who recognized its potential. Once in the studio, Savannah V instantly connected with the lyrics, which tell the story of love, sin, and the struggles of messy relationships.
“It’s about what happens when you’re not sure of yourself and, instead of loving yourself, you’re loving two other people,” she explained. “You ask God for forgiveness, and I think so many women — and even men — can relate to that. It’s become like a new women’s anthem already.”
Since its release, fans have flooded Savannah V with messages about how the track resonates with their personal experiences. “I even had a lady tell me, ‘Thank you for writing my story,’ and that really touched me,” she shared.

Known for her bold approach to music, Savannah V is also preparing a music video for “Dos Amantes.” She describes herself as a “novela type of girl,” promising a visual full of storytelling and drama. The video is currently in production with the support of sponsors, including DDT Law Firm and Polly Hernandez, and is expected to premiere in the coming weeks.
Fans can also look forward to a new full-length album from Savannah V in the coming months. While the project remains untitled, she assures it will be carefully crafted to deliver the authentic Tejano experience.
“When you’re creating an album, it has to fit like a glove,” Savannah said. “I didn’t want to just put out an EP. I wanted to give Tejanos what they’re used to — a full album.”
“Dos Amantes” is available now on all digital streaming platforms.
