Bobby Pulido Announces New ‘Ranch Hall Podcast’

Tejano icon Bobby Pulido is launching a new venture, announcing the debut of the Ranch Hall Podcast with Bobby Pulido. The Latin Grammy winner shared the news via social media, giving fans a glimpse into his next chapter.

“From the stage to the studio, I’ve shared my heart through music. Now I want to share something different. The Ranch Hall Podcast. A space to sit down, talk, and connect como familia,” Pulido said. “The first episode drops soon. I’ll see you then.” He added that it’s “the start of something special… a new space to laugh, share, and connect.”

The podcast announcement comes as Pulido builds momentum around his Ranch Hall gatherings—informal backyard-style events where he blends live music with candid conversations across South Texas. These gatherings are part of his exploratory journey into a possible 2026 run for Congress in Texas’ 15th District, where he would likely face Republican incumbent Rep. Monica De La Cruz.

“You may have seen the news already, but I wanted to tell you myself,” Pulido told supporters in a recent social media post. “I’m launching an exploratory committee to look at possibly running for U.S. Congress… I’ve always had a desire to serve.”

Pulido, a Democrat and lifelong resident of Edinburg, studied political science at St. Mary’s University before his music career skyrocketed. He said he now wants to “help make the future a little better for our kids and our community.” To do so, he plans to meet directly with constituents—farmers, veterans, small business owners, and working families—through his Ranch Hall series.

The transition comes during a pivotal time in Pulido’s career. In 2024, he announced his retirement from music to pursue political service, launching his farewell Por La Puerta Grande Tour, which runs through 2025. While on the road, he has also released Bobby & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía, a live duets album featuring top Latin and Tejano stars. A final studio album is planned for 2026.

Although Pulido has not formally entered the race, he faces a potential Democratic primary against declared candidate Dr. Ada Cuellar of Harlingen. A final decision on his candidacy is expected by the end of 2025.

“For too long, folks like Monica De La Cruz have gone to Washington and put party before people,” Pulido said. “I think the people want their voice heard—and I’m ready to listen.”

With both a podcast and a possible congressional campaign ahead, Pulido is proving once again that his connection with fans—and now potential voters—runs deeper than the stage.
