PASADENA, TX — Tejano music icons La Fiebre have unleashed the official music video for their powerhouse new single, “Ayúdame”, marking their first new release in nearly three years. The high-energy ranchera, fused with the band’s signature Tejano-Rock edge, is the lead track from their highly-anticipated anniversary album RAÍCES, a celebration of their 40-year legacy as “The Pride of Pasadena.”
Reuniting with Freddie Records, La Fiebre delivers a fresh yet familiar sound on “Ayúdame”. Penned by Texas songwriter Isaac Rodriguez and recorded at Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi, the track explodes with horn arrangements by original member Luis Ayala, along with longtime saxophonist Jonas Flores, fiery accordion lines from Julian Gonzalez, and the powerhouse vocals of Angel Cantu. The single’s bold instrumentation is rounded out by founding members guitarist and segunda voz Rudy Rocha, bassist and gritos Joe Angel Reynosa, and guest drummer Joey Jimenez.
Production was helmed by engineer Mariano “Nano” Herrera and the result is a track that feels like a modern-day anthem while staying true to the band’s roots.
RAÍCES, arriving just in time for La Fiebre’s milestone anniversary, is a heartfelt tribute to their origins, their fans, and their hometown of Pasadena, Texas. The album blends the group’s classic Tejano-Rock fusion with fresh influences and inventive arrangements. “We try to give you the traditional Fiebre, but also introduce some of the new ideas we’ve come out with,” the band shared in a recent interview on Tejano Nation Radio. “It’s fun music. We’re always experimenting.”
The “Ayúdame” video, produced and directed by MikeShotIt (Michael Salgado, Jr.), captures La Fiebre in their element—commanding the stage with the energy and charisma that has defined their four-decade career.
