
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX — The red, white, and blue lit up the sky — and the stage — during the Cowboy Cumbia Tour stop at the Cameron County Amphitheater and Event Center in South Padre Island on Friday, July 4, 2025. Tejano Nation was on hand for the all-day, high-octane celebration of music, culture, and community during one of the most anticipated Independence Day events in Texas.
This FREE Fourth of July musical fiesta brought together a powerful lineup of more than ten incredible artists, uniting the sounds of Country, Cumbia, Pop, and Hip-Hop in a vibrant, genre-defying showcase that had fans dancing from day to night.
Headlining the unforgettable event was the legendary DJ Kane, the original voice of the iconic Kumbia Kings, who electrified the crowd with his signature cumbia flair. His performance turned the amphitheater into the ultimate summer dance floor, blending nostalgia with pure party vibes.
Texas Urban Country took center stage with Chris Detroit, whose Nu-Country sound infused traditional country twang with modern electronic beats, creating a fresh sonic experience that wowed first-timers and long-time fans alike.
Co-headlining the patriotic party were South Texas favorites, the Buck’n Crazy Band, who delivered high-energy, crowd-pleasing country anthems that had fans singing and stomping along. The lineup also featured Reny Roland & the Kicker Daddy Legacy Band, bringing a bilingual blast of country classics and honoring the enduring Roland family musical legacy.
Miles Williams & Hammer Down continued the family tradition with a dynamic set that paid homage to their Hank Williams roots while showcasing original music that felt both timeless and new.
Adding a spark of pop and hip-hop glam was Krystall Poppin, the rising Latino Pop sensation making her South Padre Island debut. Already being compared to Cardi B, the El Paso native delivered a fiery, style-packed set full of swagger and show-stopping energy.
