Devin Banda Releases Empowering Tejano Anthem ‘Vamos A Brindar’

Rising Tejano singer-songwriter Devin Banda makes a triumphant return to the music scene with her bold new single, “Vamos A Brindar” — a heartfelt, empowering anthem that transforms heartbreak into strength and sorrow into celebration. Co-written with her husband, Latin Grammy-nominated artist Lucky Joe, the song weaves emotional storytelling with an irresistible Tejano rhythm that is already striking a chord with fans of all ages.

“Vamos A Brindar” is more than just a song — it’s a toast to resilience and sisterhood. With lyrics like “Tu traición fue mi bendición” (“Your betrayal was my blessing”), Banda offers a powerful message: betrayal can be the spark that ignites personal liberation. The track celebrates women who rise above heartbreak, leaning on friendship and inner strength to reclaim joy.

“This song came from a place of healing,” Banda shared. “It’s about reclaiming your power, leaning on your friends, and remembering that you can still smile, sing, and dance through the pain. It’s a shout of freedom for every woman who’s ever had to rebuild.”

The single is also the title track of Banda’s latest EP — a six-track project that marks the 2012 Tejano Idol runner-up’s return to music after a four-year hiatus. Banda first burst onto the scene as a teenager with her 2017 debut album, Unstoppable, which earned her a Tejano Music Awards nomination for Best New Female Artist.

Vamos A Brindar holds special meaning for Banda, as it represents not only her artistic comeback but also a personal collaboration with her husband, whom she married in September 2023. “It was really, really fun,” Banda said of working with Lucky Joe. “We got to experience that whole thing of two artists joining one project together. There were times when we’d ask, ‘Does this sound good?’ and we’d contradict each other, but in the end we made it all work. I’m so happy and proud of this one.”
