Suzette Quintanilla shared the emotional journey behind revisiting the album:

“When Dreaming of You came out, I didn’t care. I was too much lost in my grief. I didn’t know day or night. I didn’t care about anything. And then I learned to love it and to understand what it represents. It hurt for a very long time to be able to listen to this album. But as time went by, I understood. I embraced that this is what Sister left behind.”

She emphasized the significance of this release, noting the advancements in technology that have allowed for a cleaner, more current sound:

“It’s so crisp and so clean. And it’s crazy because when I was comparing the original, I would listen to the remastered version of it and then I would turn it off and then I would kick in the original version. Oh my God, so night and day.”

The 30th-anniversary edition of Dreaming of You will be available in various formats to cater to fans and collectors alike:

Vinyl: Four different vinyl editions, including an original design and three unique artworks.
CD: A remastered CD version.
Cassette: A special cassette release, adding a nostalgic touch for longtime fans.

Suzette expressed her dedication to the project:

“I put my heart and soul into the artwork. I worked extremely hard… Worked really, really hard to honor this last album that Sister did and left us. It’s super special to me.”

Originally released in July 1995, Dreaming of You was a monumental success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart—making Selena the first predominantly Spanish-language artist to achieve this feat.
