Monterrey, Nuevo León – A thrilling new release is shaking up the Latin music scene: “Me Duele,” the powerful new single by rising star Jessika Elizalde and the iconic DJ Kane, officially premieres today (May 16). The collaboration, sparked by mutual musical allies, is already generating buzz for its heartfelt lyrics and emotionally charged performance, promising to captivate both longtime fans and new audiences.
Born in Monterrey and raised on a diverse musical foundation, Jessika Elizalde is no stranger to creating deeply personal music with a universal appeal. Her newest release, “Me Duele,” brings together her emotive voice with the distinctive style of DJ Kane — best known for his work with Kumbia Kings — in a song that explores vulnerability, heartbreak, and the cathartic power of music.
“The collaboration came about through Ely Gómez, DJ Kane’s drummer, who’s played on most of my recordings, and also through Pedro Cortines — my brother and musical partner,” Jessika shares. “It all flowed naturally. I felt happy and very comfortable working on this track.”
Produced by Pedro Cortines and visually brought to life by Cortines and Ernesto Bugarin, the music video for “Me Duele” carries just as much weight as the song itself. While logistical challenges arose from coordinating with DJ Kane, who lives in the U.S., the team’s passion made the project seamless.
For Jessika, every song she releases is a reflection of her emotional landscape. “My style flows with what I’m feeling in life. One day it’s a ballad, the next day a cumbia. What matters to me is quality — that’s something I inherited from my father,” she explains, referring to Miguel Morales Ferrigno, member of the legendary rock band La Tribu.
Jessika has already made waves on YouTube with hits like “La Loquera” and “Una Vez Más” featuring Campa Valdés, both of which have surpassed one million views. But “Me Duele” represents more than a single — it’s a musical milestone that underscores her evolution as an artist and her ability to seamlessly blend styles while staying true to her voice.
As Jessika reflects on this new chapter, she exudes gratitude: “I’m so thankful to life, to my colleagues, to the audience. When DJ Kane heard the song, he just said, ‘Okay, let’s do it.’ That meant everything.”
“Me Duele” is now available worldwide — a heartfelt anthem and a celebration of musical synergy that proves when two artists unite with authenticity, the result is something unforgettable.
