“Te Voy A Superar” is the powerful new single by acclaimed Tejano artist Lucky Joe. The norteño ranchera track marks the fourth release from Lucky Joe’s highly anticipated new album, slated to arrive at the end of May from Freddie Records.
Written and produced by Lucky Joe Eguia himself, “Te Voy A Superar” is more than just a breakup song—it’s an anthem of self-empowerment and personal growth. “It’s a song that speaks to anyone who’s gone through a tough relationship and come out stronger,” said Lucky Joe in a recent interview with Tejano Nation Radio. “It’s not just telling someone ‘I’m going to get over you,’ it’s about making a promise to yourself—about not letting your past dictate your future.”
The single was recorded and mixed at Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi, Texas, by industry veterans Mariano “Nano” Herrera and Eli Molina. The project was overseen by executive producers The Martinez Brothers — Freddie Martinez, Jr., John Martinez, and Marc Martinez — who continue to shape the Tejano genre through their iconic label, Freddie Records.
Lucky Joe described the track as “a self-empowerment song… something people can play when they’re going through tough times. I think a lot of people are really going to identify with it.” The emotionally charged lyrics and rich norteño instrumentation make “Te Voy A Superar” both deeply personal and universally relatable.
Set to hit all major digital platforms on May 16, the single is already in rotation on Tejano radio. A music video is also in the works, with a world premiere planned on the official FreddieRecordsTV YouTube channel once completed.
Lucky Joe’s upcoming album is especially personal. “98% of the album is original music I wrote myself,” he shared. “There’s a song written by Freddie Martinez Sr., and one by a Freddie Records staff writer—but the rest, it’s all me.” The album also features collaborations with notable artists, including his wife Devin Banda, rapper Chingo Bling, and Eliseo Robles.
As he continues touring across Texas and beyond, Lucky Joe remains available for bookings via JT Entertainment at 210-941-7469.
Fans of Tejano music can expect a powerful blend of emotion, tradition, and innovation from Lucky Joe’s upcoming album, with “Te Voy A Superar” setting the tone for what promises to be one of his most meaningful releases to date.
