Tejano star Bobby Pulido continues to honor his remarkable 30-year musical legacy with the release of “Cuida Bien A Tu Mamá,” the fourth single from his double live album Bobby Pulido & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía. This poignant new track, sung by his father, the legendary Roberto Pulido, is more than just a musical milestone—it’s a heartfelt moment that bridges generations and marks a symbolic passing of the torch in Tejano music history.
Recorded live in December 2024 at the Auditorio Cumbres in Monterrey, Mexico, the performance was part of a five-night concert series celebrating Bobby’s 30-year career. Each night featured a revolving lineup of Latin music greats, but it’s this song with his father that may be the most emotional. “Cuida Bien A Tu Mamá” is not only the title track from Roberto Pulido’s final album—produced by Bobby himself—but also a stirring farewell from a father to his son, and to fans who have followed their careers for decades.
The song, penned by prolific songwriter Beto Ramón, captures timeless advice and deep familial love. Bobby shared the story behind the recording during an interview on The Radio Guys Podcast with Jonny Ramirez and Mico Rodriguez.
“When he [Beto Ramon] gave me the song, I said my dad has to sing this song,” Bobby recalled. “I showed it to my dad at first and he said, ‘necesito una cumbia.’ And I told him, ‘Dad, listen to the lyrics, dad, listen to the words. I don’t care what you say, you’re recording this song.’ This song is a classic. This is the one you’re going to leave there forever.”
In the accompanying live music video, Roberto sings directly to Bobby, delivering the song’s powerful message with sincerity and emotion. “This song reaches my heart,” Bobby said. “And with Mother’s Day so close, it takes even more meaning. It’s a reminder to love, cherish and care for our moms while we have them.”

Released through Fonovisa/Universal, Volume One of Una Tuya y Una Mía features 14 tracks, with two songs dropping weekly through May 30. Volume Two, featuring 16 additional performances, begins release June 17 through August 7. The album includes a powerhouse lineup of guest artists such as Jennifer Peña, David Olivarez, Majo Aguilar, Luis Padilla (Grupo La Firma), David Bisbal, and Alicia Villarreal—who joined Pulido for two electrifying duets just last week.
Each performance was recorded live in Monterrey, capturing the raw emotion and celebratory spirit of Pulido’s current farewell tour, Por La Puerta Grande, which continues through the end of 2025. A Latin Grammy winner and pioneer of Tejano-pop fusion, Bobby Pulido first made waves with his Gold-certified 1995 debut Desvelado, followed by hits like “Enséñame” and “Se Murió de Amor.”
As he prepares to step away from the stage, Bobby is already looking ahead. He’s currently at work on a final studio album set for release in 2026. And beyond music, he’s announced plans to enter public service, with intentions to run for office in Texas following his retirement from performing.
With “Cuida Bien A Tu Mamá,” Bobby and Roberto Pulido offer more than just a song—they share a moment of love, legacy, and farewell. It’s a gift to fans, to family, and to the generations of Tejano music lovers who have grown up with their voices as the soundtrack to their lives.
