
AUSTIN, TX — The highly anticipated documentary Selena Y Los Dinos will have its Texas premiere as an Official Selection at the renowned SXSW Film & TV Festival in March, offering fans a unique glimpse into the life and enduring impact of Selena Quintanilla-Perez, the Queen of Cumbia. Directed by Isabel Castro and executive produced by Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla and her brother A.B. Quintanilla III, the film showcases never-before-seen archival footage, personal photographs, and emotional interviews, painting a vivid portrait of Selena’s journey from her roots in Corpus Christi to superstardom.
Through the lens of her family and bandmates, Selena Y Los Dinos not only celebrates the immense talent of the iconic singer but also highlights the love and resilience of the Quintanilla family, who have worked tirelessly to preserve Selena’s legacy. The documentary shines a spotlight on the efforts they have made to honor her memory and ensure that her light continues to shine in the hearts of fans worldwide.
Selena’s husband, Chris Perez, shared his excitement for the event, revealing that many members of Selena’s band, Los Dinos, will be in attendance for the screening. “Guess what… it looks like most of Selena’s band Los Dinos will be in attendance on March 12th. I can’t WAIT to hang with my musical brothers and sister again! Come on out and enjoy the documentary with us if you can!” Perez said.
