Corpus Christi, TX – Latin Grammy nominee Lucky Joe has unveiled plans for his highly-anticipated new album with Freddie Records during a recent interview on the TV show Domingo Live. In a conversation with co-hosts Rudy Treviño and Barbi Leo, Lucky Joe shared exciting details about the upcoming project.
“And for 2025, we’re working on a new album. We don’t have the name yet, but we’re working on a new album with Freddie Records,” Lucky Joe revealed. “I’m so, so excited because it had been a while since I had written my own material. I always wrote for other people, other artists like Elida Reyna and Jimmy González, for Bobby Pulido, David Olivarez, Jay Pérez. And this album that we’re going to come out with is 95 percent all original music.”
Lucky Joe highlighted the collaborative process with Freddie Records, saying, “We actually got to choose from 20 songs because I had written 20 songs. And Freddie Martinez Jr., we sat down and we listened to all 20 songs and we picked the best 12. And it’s a great album. And I’m super excited.”
The album will feature notable collaborations, including one with Eliseo Robles, which Lucky Joe described as a long-time goal. “I have a collaboration with Eliseo Robles. That has been one of my goals ever since I started. La Voz de Oro de Ramón Ayala,” he said. Additionally, the album will include collaborations with DJ Kane, ex-member of the Kumbia Kings, Lucky Joe’s wife Devin Banda, and Chingo Bling.
While no release date has been announced for the new album, fans can look forward to a collection of original music that showcases Lucky Joe’s songwriting talents and collaborative spirit.
