The Tejano Music Awards has officially announced that the general ballot for public voting for the 44th annual awards show is now available online. Fans of Tejano music can cast their votes for their favorite artists in various categories, making their voices heard in the longest-running awards show dedicated to the Tejano music genre.
Categories this year include Song of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Tejano and Conjunto, Collaboration/Duo of the Year, and Best New Artist for Male, Female, and Group, among others.
Voting is open at TejanoMusicAwards.com and will continue through Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 5 pm CT. Each household is allowed one vote per artist, group, or manager, and duplicate or invalid ballots will be deleted. Due to the number of qualified nominees, some categories may have fewer than 12 nominees, while others may have more due to ties in the voting process.
Artists have submitted their full albums, released between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, for consideration. The industry ballots have already been submitted for the first round of voting, and now the general public will determine the final nominees. The Top 5 nominees in each category will be announced after public voting ends.
The winners will be revealed during the 44th annual Tejano Music Awards on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. Known as the “Biggest Night in Tejano Music,” the event will honor the genre’s rich heritage and culture with live performances from some of the most talented artists in Tejano music. Attendees can expect a spectacular show with iconic performances and surprising collaborations.
This year’s show will feature a special tribute by Powerhouse Avizo to legendary figures such as Jimmy Edward, Joe Bravo, Jimmy Gonzalez, Steve Jordan, Jessy Serrata, Alfonso Ramos, and Emilio Navaira. Additionally, fans can look forward to performances by Da Krazy Pimpz, David Marez, Jay Perez, La Calma, Lucky Joe, Solido, Stefani Montiel, Sunny Sauceda, and The Homeboyz..
