When she’s not captivating audiences with her powerful performances, Veronique dedicates her time to preserving the rich heritage of Tejano music. As an archivist and historian, she is committed to ensuring that the traditions and history of Tejano music are passed down to future generations. Her efforts include curating an exhibition for the legendary Freddy Fender at the San Benito Cultural Heritage Museum, which will be on display through November.
Veronique’s journey is a testament to her deep connection to her roots and her passion for Tejano music. Her work not only celebrates her musical heritage but also shines a light on the cultural legacy of her hometown, Brownsville.
The South Texas native and a bilingual singer-songwriter is known for her unique blend of Tejano, TexMex, and Country music. Described as having a voice as big as the Lone Star State, Veronique has released several albums, including “MexiAmericana,” “Lotería,” “Mi Año Dorado,” and “Encantadora.” She has been nominated for multiple Tejano Music Awards and holds a Master’s Degree in Archives and Preservation from the University of North Texas. Veronique continues to innovate and preserve the Tejano sound, making her a prominent figure in the music industry.
