Monica Saldivar & The Band are coming together to support their cherished percussionist, Jessie Fonseca, who suffered a stroke on July 21st and has been hospitalized since. To help cover Jessie’s medical expenses, a benefit concert with a $15 cover charge will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Southern Junction in Irving, Texas.
This special event promises an incredible night filled with performances by some of the best in Tejano music, including Angelina Marie, Alizé Niño, Alejandro Terra, Ramon Vargas, Grupo Deseo, Sol De La Cumbia, IDANIA, Los Gran Reyes, and of course, Monica Saldivar & The Band.
Saldivar said, “He isn’t just one of my band brothers in music. He is also one of my greatest friends. I appreciate all of you if you would lift him up in good faith and healing. Jessie, we love you and pray for a speedy recovery.”
The 35-year-old musician faces a long road to recovery, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The medical expenses are substantial and the concert benefit will help offset the financial burden.
In addition to the fantastic music, attendees can enjoy delicious food and ice-cold beer available for purchase. There will also be a raffle with amazing prizes, including a 4-Piece Bedroom Set (valued at $2000) from Canales Furniture, 4 Tickets to a Future Texas Rangers Baseball Game, a 50” Smart TV courtesy of D-Town Tejano Nites, and many more exciting items!

Your presence and support at this event will make a significant difference in helping Jessie Fonseca on his road to recovery. Come out, enjoy a night of great music, and show your support for a beloved member of the Tejano music community. Together, we can make a difference!
