Winners Unveiled at the Inaugural Texas Pura Vida Awards 2024 in SA

The inaugural Texas Pura Vida Awards 2024 marked a historic night for San Antonio’s Performing Arts community at the Tobin Center on Friday, August 16, 2024. This prestigious event aimed to honor and recognize the immense talent and contributions within the Performing Arts Industry across all walks of life.

Jay Perez emerged as the biggest winner of the night, taking home five awards, including Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for “El Patron,” and Tejano Group of the Year with The Band. Known as “The Voice,” Perez also added Duo of the Year and Single of the Year for “Vino Maldito,” featuring David Lee Garza.

Emerging star Alicia C shone brightly, winning three awards: Female Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Mariachi Single of the Year for “Te Digo Adios.” Elida Reyna also had a memorable night, winning Entertainer of the Year and Video of the Year for “Cierra Esa Boquita.”

The night was filled with amazing performances from nominees, emerging artists, and iconic artists across various music genres, including Tejano, Gospel, and Country. The Texas Pura Vida Awards 2024 truly celebrated the diversity, creativity, and excellence of the performing arts in San Antonio.
